    Estimator

Wally co-founded Green Things back in 1979. For almost three decades he has made many improvements to the company structure and landscape. For the last few years Wally has concentrated mostly on management, marketing and designing landscape projects. With over twenty-five years of landscape and retail experience, Wally holds both
    (CHT) and (CLT) certifications.
Wally is the companies' landscape estimator.

    Matt

Matt is entering his second year of employment with our firm. Matt has just graduated from the horticultural program at Algonquin College. Matt has the enormous task of keeping our 6 greenhouses growing and looking spectacular. Matt wears a lot of hats and you can even see his doing deliveries or in the landscaping crew later in the season. Matt will also be striving for his Landscape Ontario / National Certificate.

    Yicela

Yicela has been with our company since 2004. Yicela's Peruvian smile is sure to greet you at our retail store. Yicela works very hard to improve our newly expanded perennial area. Yicela likes her new home in Canada and works hard for customer satisfaction.

    Our Charity Work
As a small business, Green Things has given back to our community through various fundraisers and charities over the years. We are extremely proud of our charitable efforts, which we estimate at over $5000. Charities we regularly donate to include:
  • The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign
  • Canadian Cancer Society
  • Brockville Prostate Cancer Research Golf Tournament
  • United Way
  • Big Sisters
  • Communities in Bloom (Brockville)
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Retts Syndrome
  • Parkinsons
  • Plus many more local functions such as Riverfest, Ribfest, Mayor's Walk, and the SPCA

Because the demand for small business to donate cash, gift certificates, etc. is so strong, we often have to give on a rotating basis. We are truly sorry if we have to say no, not this time.
